Rumudamo natural - Ethiopia, Scenery | 200g
raditional Natural, Primarily JARC 74112, alongside 74110 and 74158, Lightest Roaster Influence - Best brewed with Filter/Turbo Espresso
3 key notes: [Raspberry Jam, Pomelo, Geranium]
Returning for a third season, we have one of the stalwarts of our Ethiopian offer - the natural process lot from the Rumudamo station. Extremely high altitude Arbegona production, this year's crop is a little more dense and berry forward.
We're tasting:
Aromatics of pomelo, wild rose and dried strawberries. In the cup it's super sweet with dense berry notes - we find raspberry jam, lemon zest, rose and a hint of process-forward boozy notes, but ultra-sweet - like strawberry and lime cider. As it cools we find more tropicals - like lychee, with a hint of oolong alongside geranium florals.

Traditional Natural: Ripe cherries picked and delivered to Rumudamo. Cherries floated to remove underripes and debris before being dried as a traditional African Natural on raised beds. Cherries are covered during peak mid-day sun, and moved fully under shade if the daytime temperature is too hot. Drying takes an average of 20 days, with defects removed by hand during this period. |
