It is owned and operated by the Alarcon family, a cornerstone of the specialty coffee growing community in San Jose de Alto. Originally founded in 1976, by Don Jose Alarcon and Doña Zobeida Coronel, they were attracted to the region by rich soil and ideal growing conditions. Today, the farm is managed by two of their sons. Subtext has been buying\u003cb\u003e \u003c\/b\u003etheir Bourbon for a number of years now.
